Located at the edge of an expanding new community, this bank branch, a division of the Bank of Stockton, Stockton, Calif., provides a modern facility for an institution that is rooted in the history and landscape of the Central Valley. The building is composed of two simple enclosures jointed at the transaction counter—a glass public banking hall with an opaque money-handling area. The roof structure is a folded plane that reaches over the site to shelter both the covered parking and drive thru bays while shading the glass walls. The roof is supported by tree-like columns; their shapes echoing the canopy of the almond orchards that once flourished throughout the region.

Metal Sales supplied approximately 19,000 square feet (1,765 m2) of Versaloc standing seamroof panels and approximately 2,000 square feet (186 m2) of T6A ribbed panels for siding for the building and 12,500 square feet (1,161 m2) of covered parking and drive-thru lanes. The 6,500-square-foot (604-m2) bank also features approximately 4,000 square feet (372 m2) of windows from Oldcastle Glass Vistawall, structural steel from Amerifab and light-gauge framing from USG Corp.

In addition, the bank has a photovoltaic laminate system from United Solar Ovonic that is incorporated into the metal roofing; a raised access floor from Tate Access Floors Inc. that serves as a mechanical supply plenum; and prism-like skylights from Industrial Skylights that bring daylight into the central transaction area.
