Metal Construction Hall of Fame

The metal construction industry is about people, and it is for
that reason that Metal Cons truction News is excited to announce
the creation of the Metal Construction Hall of Fame, to recognize
the accomplishments of the people who have built this industry. We
wanted to honor those who have made significant contributions to
the success, innovation and growth of the metal construction
industry.
On the following pages, we offer profiles of the members of the
inaugural class of the Metal Construction Hall of Fame, showcasing
their accomplishments, experience and influence on the industry.
The inaugural members of the Metal Construction Hall of Fame
are:

Manufacturing
The group is divided into three categories so we can recognize
the full breadth of the industry.
Manufacturers/Suppliers are those honorees who predominantly
work to create and improve products for the metal construction
industry.
Contractors/Installers are honorees who work in the field and
install the products, whether they are a general contractor or a
trade contractor.
The final group is Friends of the Industry. These people have
had a huge influence on the industry through their promotion of
metal construction or their independent efforts to innovate.
An independent panel of judges selected the candidates based on
five criteria:
• Unique Contribution: The creation or development of a specific
aspect or segment of business that has advanced the industry.
• Body of Work: The depth and breadth of contribution to the
industry throughout a career. • Longevity: Honorees must have been
actively involved in the industry for at least 15 years.
• Legacy: The honoree's contribution must have had a
long-lasting impact on the industry.
• Integrity: Honorees must exhibit the highest ethical and
professional standards in all aspects of business.
The judges represented major industry associations and Modern
Trade Communications as the major underwriter of the Hall of
Fame.
They were:
