Oldcastle
Glass Naturalite
The BMS-3000 Multi-Hazard custom skylight system from
Oldcastle Glass Naturalite is designed for high-velocity hurricane
and antiterrorist blast-resistant applications. The system
has snap-on glazing caps to conceal the stainless-steel glazing
fasteners and is thermally broken to reduce heat transfer. The
product has deeper glazing rabbets for increased glass covered and
silicone applications to meet Department of Defense antiterrorism
standards. The system is available with fully captured and
two-sided silicone glazing options.
Kawneer
Kawneer Co. Inc.'s AA 3200 ISOWEB Sliding Door is designed
to meet the challenges of thermal, coastal and hurricane
conditions. With contemporary hardware, clean sightlines,
sound resistance and endless configuration options, the AA 3200
ISOWEB Sliding Door is ideal for high-end condominiums, hotels and
apartments. It is available in both high-performance and
hurricane-resistant versions. The Sliding Door has been tested to
meet North American performance standards, including air, water,
structural, thermal, condensation, and large and small missile
impact.
VELUX
America
VELUX America introduced a redesigned skylight line with
major upgrades including advanced energy-efficient glass and added
protection against water penetration. The VELUX deck mounted
product family is now designated the No Leak Skylight. It carries
the new 10-year installation warranty plus 20 years on glass, 10
years on product, and five years on blinds and controls. Features
include three layers of water protection, improved solar heat gain
performance, and a neutral gray color to blend with most roof
materials and colors.
Marvin
Windows
Marvin Windows expanded its Ultimate line of casements to
include the Ultimate Round Top. Numerous options, ease of
installation and robustness make the Ultimate Round Top a
sophisticated and strong window. Design flexibility includes a
simulated check rail and wide bottom rail that mimics the look of a
doublehung window. Marvin offers more than 60 Ultimate Round Top
shapes, including nonoperational circular and oval windows.The
windows feature Low-E II insulating glass with argon to keep heat
inside in the winter and out in the summer, lowering heating and
cooling bills.
Pella
Windows and Doors
The energy-efficient Pella Impervia line has been expanded
to include casement and awning window options. Pella
Impervia can withstand the forces of Mother Nature without
cracking, shrinking or warping in extreme weather conditions. Made
from Duracast, the windows are virtually maintenance free and come
in factory prefinished Brown, White or Tan colors.
The Pella
Designer Series aluminum cladwood windows and doors contain more
than 20 percent preconsumer recycled content. The wood
components are treated with EnduraGaurd, an innovative immersion
method that creates a protective barrier on exterior wood surfaces
to offer long-term protection from moisture, stains and decay. The
Designer Series also offers blinds and shades located between the
panes of glass where they are protected from dust and damage,
therefore reducing life cycle costs associated with the maintenance
and replacement of room side blinds and shades.
Bay
Insulation Systems
Bay Insulation Systems Inc. developed a new strip light
skylight, Baylight SL, powered by Sunoptics, and a proprietary
method for installing the Baylight SL specifically designed to
complement metal roofs. This new skylight Baylight SL system
utilizes the beam strength of the major rib profile on the roof
panel to attach side rails and closures that support and seal the
assembly to the exposed surface of the deck.Developed primarily for
standing-seam roofs, this new skylight system can be installed over
any metal roof panel profile without the added material,labor and
weathertightness issues typically associated with the more
traditional skylights requiring roof curbs and sub-framing. This
innovative Baylight SL system is designed to join multiple units
end to end which greatly reduce field labor and material while
providing superior daylighting capability for a fraction of the
cost of traditional skylights. The Baylight SL is 2 feet (0.6 m)
wide and comes in varying lengths.
