Metal Construction’s Fasteners of Choice

Dynamic Fastener has been a fixture in the metal building
industry for the past 35 years. We supply fasteners and tools to
all 50 states while also getting involved with international
business. Within our seven warehouses located in Kansas City,
Chicago, Houston, Las Vegas, Memphis, St. Louis and St. Paul, we
have whatever you need when you order. With more than 9,500 line
items, we succeed at this over 90 percent of the time.
Our high quality, professional in-house painting operation
enables us to custom match and paint most any screws and rivets
with a one or two day lead time. To ensure our customers receive
their painted fasteners in one or two days, our market has allowed
us to open up other painting facilities in our Kansas City, Chicago
and Houston branches.
Our line of D.F self-drilling screws assures our customers will
get one of the best products money can buy. D.F screws typically
drill in half of the time as compared to all other brands they were
tested against.
Dynamic Fastener is excited to introduce new fasteners to the
metal construction industry. Our 14x1-1/8" U-Seal T-1 Self Driller
was designed to be used with our Dyna-Flash pipe flashings for
metal roofs. The T-1 point is best suited for fastening into a
metal roof. The extra ¼" of length, compared to the standard 7/8",
will better allow for the thickness of the outer ring of the
Dyna-Flash and for the necessary sealant that goes under the ring.
The fastener is available with our Dyna-Coat 1000 hour salt spray
premium coating.
The 12x1-1/4" Stainless T-17 #25 Torx Truss Head (Rounded Head)
is similar to our 12x1-1/4" S/S T-17 #25 torx clip screw but is now
available with a rounded edge around the outer top rim. The primary
market for this screw is when a finished look is needed on our
typical clip screw. Applications would include exterior
architectural, colored acoustical panels and curtain wall systems
that require a stainless steel finished fastener.
The D.F Fenderhead continues to be the fastener of choice when
attaching steel to structural steel. Fenderheads are a stout T-5
with a built-in fender washer-like washer face under the head.
These extra large T-5's provide many advantages over the common #12
diameter T-5.
1 The screw shank is a #14 diameter vs. the common #12 diameter.
The larger #14 diameter is designed to provide better pullout and
shear values than the #12 diameter screws.
2 The giant washer face measures 5/8" O.D. It provides optimum
pullover values and creates more than 100 percent additional
bearing area as compared to the common 7/16" O.D. washer face
(.3066 sq. in. vs. .1502 sq. in.).
3 Milled thread reliefs ensure that the threads will tap quickly
and reliably every time.
4 The extra stout head of these fasteners measures 37 percent
taller than their #12 counterpart. This extra stoutness of the head
height allows the screwgun's torque to be more efficiently
transferred to the screw's drill tip. It also eliminates the wobble
that is frequently experienced when one is starting the drilling
process. Usually the operator experiences an increasing amount of
wobble-and frustration-when using longer screws; but that problem
is eliminated because of the Fenderhead.
Fenderheads are available in lengths of 1-1/2", 2-1/4", 3", 4",
5", 6" and 8". Four inch lengths and under are fully threaded. They
are stocked with and without a metal-backed EPDM washer.
Fenderheads have a 1,000-hour salt spray premium coating.
Dynamic Fastener also offers other products to complement your
metal building needs. Masonry anchors, flashings, safety equipment,
power tools, Colorgard and Drop-Stop (brush-grade mastic to repair
leaky roofs) are just a few examples.
Dynamic Fastener just released the newest version of its very
popular Tool and Fastener Hand Guide. This one-of-a-kind gem
provides many answers to common and uncommon issues that arise in
the metal building industry. It is a 124 page full color tool that
provides clear and concise answers to questions pertaining to
fastener applications, engineering data, availability of types,
size ranges and fastener materials. In additions to discussing
screws and anchors, the Hand Guide provides prices and other useful
information relating to: flashings, sealants, insulation tapes,
safety equipment, hand tools, power tools and more. Call (800)
