CENTRIA's Kolorshift is a series of iridescent paint colors
designed to change the appearance of the metal surface of a
building depending on the viewing angle or direction of
sunlight.
By using Kolorshift, a building can be designed where
pedestrians first experience it as silver, then purple as they walk
by it. While design teams have always employed solar orientation,
especially as part of improving a building's performance (i.e. heat
loss/gain), now they can also use it to create a building that
transforms from green as the sun rises and to copper as the sun
sets.
This new line of CENTRIA paints offers a myriad of design
possibilities for exterior metal walls. The continuous iridescent
color gradient creates depth to the exterior of a building and adds
distinguished aesthetic value-all with the exceptional performance
expected from CENTRIA's products.
Kolorshift Series paints are formulated as a polyvinylidene
fluoride (PVDF) coating system with 70 percent Kynar 500/Hylar 5000
resins, which provide lasting durability. The Kolorshift paints are
applied by coil coating in order to provide consistent color and
available with a standard 20-year warranty.
