U.S. Construction to be flat in 2011, but up from 2009 and 2010

The idea that U.S. Construction spending will be flat in 2011 doesn't exactly sound like great news, but when you consider the kind of years 2009 and 2010 were, it is at least a step in the right direction.

Our Annual Green Issue: More Than Just a Trend

Anchoring our green coverage this month is our Green Feature on page 12, where I got perspectives on the green building movement from sustainable building consultant Thomas Taylor of Vertegy. Taylor sees the market for metal components within the green building trend as very promising and ripe for growth, but the key may lie in additional education and information from the metal and steel industries.

Beyond the Economic Indicators

One of the best things about being in trade publishing is attending the various industry events and talking with all of the friendly, extremely helpful and knowledgeable people that make up the backbone of the metal construction industry.
