Burrell Roofing Co. Inc. replaced Blessed Sacrament Church's shingle roof with a standing seam metal roof supplied by Englert Inc. in 2014. Burrell Roofing installed 24-gauge Englert Series 1300 1/2-inch mechanically seamed profile with 21-inchwide panels on the 10,000-square-foot roof. Burrell Roofing also installed Englert's MetalMan HT Underlayment, which is 33 percent heavier than standard underlayment.

The church was built on property that was formerly a farm and the birthplace of Brother Joseph Dutton, a missionary who spent 43 years tending to the needs of abandoned lepers. A church was planned to honor Dutton as early as the second decade of the 20th century. It wasn't until Rev. Francis McDonough arrived in 1947, and with help from Maria von Trapp, that the building became a reality. The windows, ceilings, interior and exterior walls were painted and decorated by French artist Andre Girard and depict Dutton's life.
