Tate Snyder Kimsey Architecture designed Douglas County Community and Senior Center with a metal roof, metal wall panels and metal soffit panels.Tate Snyder Kimsey Architecture designed Douglas County Community and Senior Center with a metal roof, metal wall panels and metal soffit panels. Commercial Roofers Inc. installed MBCI's tapered Craftsman Series in Galvalume on the roof of the cylinder section of the building. The snap-on batten roof system was specified with small batten panels that have 3/4-inch-long vertical legs and were curved to the shape of the cylinder.

Additionally, Commercial Roofers installed MBCI's Artisan Series in Galvalume, PBC Panel Signature 300 in Slate Gray and flat sheet panels in Galvalume and Slate Gray on the 83,000-squarefoot community center, completed in July 2014. The Artisan Series panels in Galvalume were used for soffit panels. Commercial Roofers made trim with MBCI's 24-gauge flat sheets in Slate Gray and Galvalume on-site.

The PBC metal panels were installed on the roof and exterior walls with exposed fasteners. Photovoltaic (PV) panels were installed on top of the PBC roof panels. The PV panels and PBC panels were specified to improve the PV system's efficiency by increasing the energy output of the solar modules on the cool metal roof.
