Highland Center at Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs Resort, Phoenix

Located 9 miles (14.4 km) from the Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, the recently completed 12,200-square-foot (1,133-m2) Highland Center was designed around systems construction. This project completes a major multiphase property enhancement that started in 2005 at the 585 all-suite resort and brings the total meeting and convention space at the resort to more than 85,700 square feet (7,962 m2). The Highland Center is designed to accommodate up to 1,200 attendees and can be subdivided into three equally sized rooms using rollaway doors. Other features include 18-foot (6-m) ceilings, theater and class seating, T3 Internet service, state-of-the-art sound and lighting systems, and an 8,500-square-foot (790-m2) outdoor plaza.

Butler Manufacturing Co. supplied its Widespan framing system fitted with MR-24 standing-seam metal roof system and Koreteck panelized wall system for the project. The combination of Butler systems met the required 90-foot (27-m) clear span, weathertight roof performance and energy efficient walls.
