The Holiday Inn Manhattan-Financial District features a metal-paneled façade that reflects light and brightens the street-level pedestrian landscape. The façade was built with Alcoa Architectural Products' Reynobond aluminum composite material (ACM). Gene Kaufman Architect PC redesigned the façade from the original, which was constructed with concrete masonry units (CMU) and masonry, to one built with Reynobond ACM panels over a dry-seal system with metal stud framing. The new façade created a slender exterior wall and increased interior guestroom space.

Allied Specialty Group Inc.'s Allied Metal Wall and Panel Systems fabricated 115,000 square feet of 4-mm Reynobond ACM with a fire-resistant core finished in a Champagne Metallic Colorweld 500XL paint coating for the exterior walls, soffits and columns. Cava Construction and Development Inc. was the general contractor for the project. The Reynobond panels were installed in a pattern that runs vertically and horizontally to lead the eye up and accentuate the gradual setbacks. Horizontal patterns create a sense of balance in relation to other façade components.

The hotel's post-modern architecture has a low-rise, contextual base that blends with the surrounding streetscape and rises into a tower featuring gradual setbacks. The gradual setbacks required swing scaffolding and mast climbers to be frequently moved and reworked in a limited staging area. PG Drywall worked with Allied Metal Wall and Panel Systems' 3000 Estolga Dry Seal Gasket system to install the Reynobond composite panels. The system profile progress worked with attachment and panel with 1.5-inch space due to limited space air rights.

The 176,000-square-foot, 50-story Holiday Inn Manhattan-Financial District is adjacent to the World Trade Center and Wall Street Financial Center. It features 494 guest rooms, a fitness center and restaurant.
