Rare Air Ltd. LLC Hangar, Centennial, Colo.

Rare Air Ltd.'s new 39,917-square-foot, clear-span aircraft storage hangar at Centennial Airport was constructed with Varco Pruden Building's Rigid Frame system, includes a curved roof assembly at the main entryway and was completed in fall 2012.

A 9,917-square-foot lean-to area is attached to a 30,000-square-foot hangar. It contains an additional storage area, offices, a lobby, conference room, break room, waiting lounge, pilot support areas, shops, garage space and covered vehicle parking area.

The exterior cladding includes Varco Pruden's SSR standing seam roof system. A panel rib wall system in Cool Metallic Silver and Custom Noble Gray and coated with Varco Pruden's KXL finish was also installed.

Centennial Airport opened May 13, 1967. The airport accommodated approximately 300,000 aircraft operations in 2011, or a takeoff or landing every 36 seconds, has become the third busiest general aviation airport and is among the top 25 busiest of all types of airports.
