CO Architects and SRG Partnership Inc. specified a customized rainscreen for the Shriners for Children Medical Center. It features dark-colored infill and jointed corners designed to enhance the outlines of the façade.

Best Contracting Services Inc. installed 25,000 square feet of DAMS Inc.-D. Architectural Metal Solutions Inc.’s 0.09-inch 3003 aluminum plate CPRS Rainscreen Plate Panel System. The rainscreen panels were produced with a three-coat Kynar metallic finish in eight custom colors: Space Silver, Steel City Silver, Silver Gray, Silver Shadow, Medium Gray, Pewter and two other types of Silver. Additionally, Best Contracting Services installed DAMS’ CPCC Aluminum Plate Column Covers.

The 74,800-square-foot Shriners for Children Medical Center is located on a 2-acre site. It houses 20 outpatient clinic examination rooms, six rooms with post anesthesia care units, three fitting rooms for prosthetics and orthotics, two ambulatory surgery rooms, care coordination departments and a pharmacy. The $77 million project was completed in April 2017.
