The 55,000-square-foot Sobrato Center for Humanities and the Arts at Bellarmine College Preparatory was the first of four new buildings with mainly stucco facades. Accent materials were selected to provide the same warmth as the stucco and continue throughout the campus without becoming overwhelming.

Paragon Mechanical Inc. installed 9,000 square feet of 1-mm VMZ Interlocking Panels in PIGMENTO Blue from Umicore Building Products USA Inc. The linear PIGMENTO Blue zinc panels broke up the stucco without interrupting the continuity of the facade.

The arts and humanities building holds a 440- seat main theater, 125-seat black box theater, music studios, offices, rehearsal spaces, digital graphics and production studios, ceramics studio, three fine arts studios, four general education classrooms and the campus' information technology hub.
