St. John Baptist Catholic Church, Johnsburg, Ill.

Revere Copper supplied approximately 20,000 square feet of copper coils and sheets for St. John Baptist Catholic Church, a 17,000-square-foot project for the Catholic Church Diocese of Rockford, completed in November 2013.

Chicago Metal Supply and Fabrication Inc. fabricated 1 1/2-inch double lock standing seam metal roof panels on-site with a portable standing seam roll former. The fabricator used cold mold technology to replicate historical, 20-ounce copper decorative finials, 20-ounce copper cornice with built-in gutters, 15,000 square feet of 20-ounce copper panels and cupolas. Conrad Roofing of Illinois installed the roof panels, flashings, decorative finials, 20-ounce copper cornices with built-in gutters and 2,000 square feet of genuine Buckingham slate.
