2016 MCN Building & Roofing Awards

The Grand Award and Metal Roofing-New winner in the 2016
Metal Construction News Building & Roofing Awards is the Hennepin County Library-Brooklyn Park in Brooklyn Park, Minn. Submitted in the Metal Roofing-New Construction category, the project was noteworthy for its exterior that features a split-faced, stacked-slate façade with zinc metal panels and western red cedar accents; sloped roof forms; and expansive windows. In a strong group of projects covering diverse applications, the judges selected it calling it a “clear and distinct winner” citing its roofing that was “necessary and well thought out, and an integral part of the whole design.”
