In past Readers’ Choice Awards, the types of products selected have leaned heavily toward roofing applications. In the 2020 selection, the trend to roofing products has hit a deflection point, and it will be interesting to see if in future years that trend continues.
This year, readers did express a significant interest in one type of product—metal panels. They might be roofing panels, wall panels or insulated metal panels, but of the 22 products selected, 12 of them were metal panels.
The second most popular category of products is those associated with fastening and sealing, while the third is daylighting such as windows or translucent panels.
The top selection was the Generations Slate Metal Roof Panels from EDCO Products Inc., Hopkins, Minn. It shows that our readers still have a strong interest in roofing and in residential roofing products in particular.
For a product to be considered for the Readers’ Choice Awards, it must have been featured in our editorial coverage between the September 2019 and August 2020 issues of Metal Construction News. We tracked the leads generated by each product from our readers and ranked them according to the number of leads.
Congratulations to the winners of the 2020 Metal Construction News Readers’ Choice Awards.
