Looking at the Jared L. Cohon University Center gives one the impression of Pittsburgh’s industrial heritage updated with a postmodern spin. CannonDesign[1], Pittsburgh, designed this prominent and popular meeting place to complement the Center’s original architectural style, while creating a more open, contemporary feel. Its front door façade strengthens university circulation and connectivity across campus. For this old and new mix, Greeneville, Tenn.-based Jarden Zinc Products[2] supplied façade and roof components consisting of 1.5-mm zinc panels, 1-mm zinc fl at lock panels, 1-mm zinc double-lock metal roofing and 4-mm zinc composite rainscreen panels, all installed by Wheeling, W.Va.-based Kalkreuth Roofing and Sheet Metal Inc.[3]
