Los Angeles-based Newsom Design[1] wanted to incorporate the rich history of the city into the A.F. Gilmore Co. parking garage, which is located in a historic Los Angeles neighborhood. At elevator landings on each floor, guests are greeted with a striking multilayered partition that uses historic imagery to showcase the company’s dynamic history and impact in the local industry. The screens required a durable material to withstand the rough use. Móz Designs[2], Oakland, Calif., perforated metal dividers and layered in the client’s custom digital images of vintage prints of farm equipment.
