Sunshine refracts and reflects off metal panels in golden rays, glowing semicircles and elongated beams. This ultraviolet effect occurs at the National Museum of the Army, Washington, D.C., due to 650,000 pounds of stainless steel cladding. Further adding to the optical display, the cut edges of the faceplate material are the panel’s edges, which produce a fascinating floating panel appearance.
