Projecting a thin veil of vibrant yellow and red colors, a 42-foot vertical span of metal mesh illuminates the Kansas City, Mo.-based Kansas City University Center for Medical Education Innovation building, giving it a lambent glow at night. During the day, the GKD Omega 1520 mesh delivers shading, transparency and long-term durability. The mesh is anchored to metal panels 90 degrees perpendicular to the façade, similar to how vertical blinds function to produce a full sunshading benefit.
