George Garcia, AIA, NCARB, RIBA, founder/principal architect, garcia architecture + design, San Luis Obispo, Calif.

Garcia is the founder and principal architect of garcia architecture + design[16], a multidisciplinary design firm consisting of architects, engineers, planners, artists, craftsmen, painters, musicians and design instructors. His firm provides comprehensive architectural design services for projects locally as well as throughout the western U.S. and beyond. Under Garcia’s stewardship, the firm has successfully completed hundreds of commercial, residential, institutional, financial and hospitality-type projects, and continues to design and deliver award-winning projects of the highest caliber for all sectors of the construction industry.

Steven Ginn, founding principal, Steven Ginn Architects, Omaha, Neb.

Ginn is a NCARB-accredited architect with more than 20 years of experience overseeing religious, commercial, institutional and residential projects. He founded Steven Ginn Architects[17] in 2005, which has evolved into an award-winning firm passionately committed to rigorous excellence in the built craft at every scale. Ginn earned a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Kansas, Lawrence, Kan., and a Master of Architecture from Washington University in St. Louis, and completed his thesis on indigenous architecture in numerous countries across Africa, Asia and Europe. In addition to his day-to-day architectural work, Ginn has taught architecture and design classes at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Lincoln, Neb.

Tim Wybenga

Tim Wybenga, LEED AP, principal, TVA Architects[18], Portland, Ore.

Wybenga has 27 years of experience designing, conceptualizing and strategizing for clients. His project type experience spans all markets, including corporate office environments, athletics, fitness, recreation facilities, high-profile university projects, mixed-use residential developments and master planning. Wybenga specializes in difficult sites, challenging financial concerns, and complex jurisdictional criteria. He has a wealth of experience in complex, multi-phase, multi-building renovations, such as the work he has completed at the Beaverton, Ore.-based Nike World Headquarters, Hillsboro, Ore.-based Nike Evergreen Campus, and Nike Beaverton Creek Campus, in addition to his experience with new construction.
