Five Honorees Join the Metal Construction Hall of Fame in 2015At METALCON in Tampa, Fla., five industry stars were inducted into the Metal Construction Hall of Fame. This is the fourth class of inductees and it represents the breadth of the industry as well as reaching back into the past to recognize noteworthy accomplishments from major innovators.

- D.V. “Red” McConnohie[2], Roof Hugger Inc.
- Earl Raymond[3], Systems Contractors Inc.
- W. Lee Shoemaker[4], Ph.D., P.E., Metal Building Manufacturers Association
- George C. Smeja[5], Metalmaster Roofmaster Inc.
Categories and Legacy Award
Honorees are inducted in one of three categories:
- Manufacturer/Supplier
- Contractor/Installer
- Friend of the Industry
Additionally, we recognize posthumous honorees with our Legacy Award.
The Judges
Four judges evaluated the nominees and represent the major industry associations in partnership on the Hall of Fame. Modern Trade Communications is the founding partner and underwriter of the program.
