Cool Surfaces Toolkit offers science-based information on solar-reflective surfaces

The Cool Roof Rating Council[2] (CRRC) has published a microsite with information about solar-reflective roofs, exterior walls, and pavements.

“Our hope for the microsite is that it opens doors for more audiences to utilize and benefit from the CRRC’s extensive collection of scientifically supported educational resources,” said communications manager Audrey McGarrell.

The Cool Surfaces Toolkit[3] microsite is designed to provide science-based information on cool roofs, walls, and pavements to a range of audiences.

A noteworthy feature is the Cool Surfaces Knowledge Base, a repository of cool surfaces and heat island information from around the world. The knowledge base catalogs over 600 peer-reviewed research and technical studies; codes, standards, policies, and laws; government reports; case studies and demonstration projects; and sample program documents and implementation frameworks.

Additional materials and updates will be added over time as they become available, says CRRC.
