Allied Steel Expansion Expected to Increase Local Business

Allied Steel’s Central Florida division branch expanded to a larger facility in the Regions Bank Building of downtown Orlando. The new location provides additional space for client interaction, including design services. Five new project manager positions will be created as a result of the expansion. Allied Steel expects to increase local business by 20 percent over the next year.

The Central Florida operation opened in July of 2007. Ben Meister, Allied Steel Buildings vice president said, “Central Florida provided growth opportunity for Allied Steel into large markets for residential, equestrian, agricultural and commercial buildings.” As the economy declined in what is widely known as “The Great Recession” the Florida market suffered. Allied Steel Buildings stayed afloat by focusing on national and international sales and service of their pre-engineered steel buildings. For the Orlando branch, a priority has returned to serving Central Florida and providing turnkey building solutions.
