O’Donnell Metal Deck expands national presence with acquisition

O’Donnell Metal Deck LLC, based in Elkridge, Md., expanded its steel distribution by acquiring Metal Deck Direct, based in Lenoir City, Tenn.

Slate Capital Group LLC, based in Baltimore, owns O’Donnell Metal Deck. “On the heels of last month’s acquisition of Tombari Structural Products in the Pacific Northwest [Spokane, Wash.], this acquisition of Metal Deck Direct will further expand O’Donnell’s national presence,” says Rick Corcoran, partner and co-founder at Slate Capital Group. “With its recent organic growth and strategic M&A [mergers and acquisitions] partnerships, O’Donnell Metal Deck continues to strengthen its leadership in the industry.”

O’Donnell CEO Matt Weiss, says, “As we continue to grow our business nationally, we are excited to join forces with Metal Deck Direct. We will now have a stronger presence in the Southeast and Midsouth regions, both of which are booming for our business. We are certain that our joint mission of providing quality service will seamlessly continue.”
