United Steel Supply[1] recently purchased a 63,000-square-foot warehouse located in Jackson, Miss., in the Greater Jackson Industrial Park. The facility includes a rail spur dock that allows for the loading and unloading of rail cars. The space also allows for the loading and unloading of trucks inside the building to protect product from harmful or extreme weather conditions. Business partners located near the distribution center include Metal Coaters[2], Double G Coatings[3] and PreCoat Metals[4].
Bret Curtis, president of United Steel Supply, said, “The proximity of our new location to our business partners is a benefit to both us and our customers as we are able to better serve our existing client base and expand our efforts to new customers and markets. Additionally, it is ideally located to both domestic and import supply. We are also excited to provide new product offerings to our customers in the near future.”
Currently, the building is being reconditioned and is expected to be fully operational in early March. More information about the expansion in product offerings will also be available at that time.
