Vulcraft Honors NuHeights Winners

Vulcraft has announced the winners of its 2014 NuHeights Design Awards. The competition is designed to acknowledge outstanding design, architecture and the diverse applications of building with steel joist and decking. The award winners were chosen because of their unique and innovative use of Vulcraft/Verco Group products to produce state-of-the-art buildings.
The inaugural 2014 NuHeights Design Awards competition was open to fabricators, erectors, engineers, architects and general contractors of nonresidential buildings in the U.S. and Canada, who completed projects using Vulcraft Joists or Steel Decking, Verco Decking or Ecospan Composite Floor System products. The projects must have been completed between January 1, 2013 and October 31, 2013 to be eligible for the 2014 awards. Winners were selected by an independent panel of judges.
“We are excited to recognize the achievements of the many professionals in our industry who strive for creative solutions using the most advanced technology,” said Mike Klug, Marketing Coordinator of Vulcraft. “This year’s competition winners exemplify excellence in design and construction in building with steel.”

- Indiana Tech Law School, Fort Wayne, Ind. Builder: Almet Inc.
- Kingsport Aquatics & YMCA, Kingsport, Tenn. Builder: Henard Metals
- St. Louise Parish School, Bellevue, Wash. Builder: Broderick Architects
- Hard Rock Rocksino, Northfield Park, Ohio Builder: Adena Corp.
- Harper Fiat, Knoxville, Tenn. Builder: Interstate Steep Corp.
- Amazon Fulfillment Center, Patterson, Calif. Builder: JD2 Inc.
- Aurora Co-Op, Sedan, Neb. Builder: McPherson Concrete Storage Systems Inc.
