Entries are now open for the 2020 North American Copper in Architecture (NACIA) awards. Architects, designers, and sheet metal contractors are invited to submit[1] their building projects for consideration through January 31, 2020.
For over a decade, the NACIA program has been North America’s premier award program in the field of copper architecture, craftsmanship, and design. Since its launch in 2008, NACIA award-winning projects demonstrate a wide range of variety, including government buildings, private homes, places of worship, commercial buildings, healthcare buildings, and more – all of which can be found on CDA’s website[2]. A few notable projects from the last 2-3 years include:
In order to meet requirements for eligibility, the projects must be located in the United States or Canada, feature a significant application of architectural copper alloys, and have been completed between 2017 and 2020. Winning projects are chosen by a panel of experts and professionals in the copper industry, and judgements are based on:
Groups or individuals who submit an award-winning project will receive recognition on CDA’s website as well as promotion in various publications.
