Nominations Now Open For MBCEA’s Building of the Year Awards

The MBCEA Building of the Year Award provides MBCEA members with the opportunity to showcase the advances and innovations the industry has made in recent years. MBCEA invites its contractor members to submit an application and earn national recognition for outstanding efforts in creating one of the best metal building projects of the year.

To enter, follow the rules below and submit project information by registering and then submitting it at MBCEAAwards.org[2]. MBCEA officials remind applicants to remember that the better the photographic portrayals, the better the judges’ chances of properly evaluating the building.

The winners will be acknowledged during the annual MBCEA Conference, which will take place in Colorado Springs, Colo., from April 22 to 24, 2026. Award winners are asked to attend the MBCEA Conference to accept their award. This year’s top project was the AdventHealth Sports Park at Bluhawk in Overland Park, Ks. The project features two metal buildings, housing a gymnasium and an ice hockey rink, each with 12.2-m (40-ft) eave heights, standing seam metal roofs, and metal wall panels. Ironhide Construction of Lincoln, Neb., served as the metal building erector[4], and Chief Buildings of Grand Island, Neb., supplied the building systems.
