MBMA Introduces New CEU Course

The Metal Building Manufacturers Association[1] (MBMA) released its latest continuing education course titled “Creative Design Alternatives Using Metal Building Systems.”[2] This new course, produced in partnership with the American Institute of Architects (AIA)[3] and Architectural Record[4] magazine, is now available through Architectural Record’s Continuing Education Center website and also via a mobile device app. The course provides one Learning Unit credit for AIA members.

“Our latest continuing education course provides a look at the unique design diversity of metal building systems for low-rise, nonresidential facilities,” notes MBMA General Manager Tony Bouquot. “Many building professionals have a perception about the design flexibility of metal buildings that doesn’t fit with the reality, and we hope this course broadens their viewpoint.”

This course is geared toward building and construction professionals and explores the wide array of design possibilities that metal building systems offer. The style, materials and detailing of these flexible, attractive facilities are all variable and present many opportunities for designers. Learning objectives include the participant’s ability to:
