MCM White Paper from MCA Addresses Code Requirements

A new white paper from the Metal Construction Association (MCA) addresses how the architect or designer can be assured that construction products for their building project meet established performance and safety standards. The one-page “Does Your Delivered Building Material Actually Meet Code Requirements?[1]” is available as a pdf document at no charge on the MCA website.

The paper describes the three most common approaches for assuring that the product does meet all the requirements: test reports, specific test listing/labeling reports and model building code listing/labeling reports. The white paper was written by members of the MCA’s Metal Composite Material Fabricator Council and includes a chart to simplify the three approaches discussed.
