NRCA Announces 2015 Gold Circle Awards Winners

The
National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA) has awarded five of its member contractors with the prestigious
Gold Circle Award during its 128th Annual Convention held Feb. 24-26 in New Orleans. The award recognizes outstanding workmanship and contributions to the roofing industry, including unique roofing-related jobs, programs and services. Additionally, two companies received a Gold Circle Safety Award for demonstrating superior safety measures.

The 2015 Gold Circle Awards were presented in the following categories:

 

Outstanding Workmanship: Low-slope

Winner:

• Trinity Roofing Service Inc., Blue Island, Ill., for Jardine Water Purification Plant – East Filter Building, Chicago

Honorable Mentions:

• Advanced Roofing Inc., Fort Lauderdale, Fla., for DePuy Synthes Manufacturing Facility, Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.
• KPostCompany Dallas, for Perot Museum of Nature and Science, Dallas

Finalist:

• Kalkreuth Roofing and Sheet Metal Inc., Wheeling W.V., for Albert B. Chandler Patient Care Pavilion, Lexington, Ky.

 

Outstanding Workmanship: Steep-slope

Winners:

• Fick Bros. Roofing & Exterior Remodeling Co., Baltimore, for Guilford Portico, Guilford, Md.
• James R. Walls Contracting Co. Inc., Clinton, Md., for National Society Daughters of the American Revolution Headquarter, Washington, D.C.

Honorable Mention:

• D&D Monarch Sheet Metal Inc., Commerce City, Colo. for American Heritage Center at University of Wyoming, Laramie, Wy.

Finalists:

• Chamberlin Roofing and Waterproofing, Austin, Texas, for SkyHouse Austin
• Milcon Construction Corp., West Babylon, N.Y., for Playland Ice Casino, Rye, N.Y.

 

Innovative Solutions: New Construction

Winner:

• KPostCompany, Dallas, for Perot Museum of Nature and Science, Dallas

Honorable Mention:

• Blackmore & Buckner Roofing LLC, a Tecta America company, Indianapolis, for Birch Bayh Federal Building and U.S. Courthouse, Indianapolis
