The Roofing Industry Alliance for Progress Announces 2016 MVP Award Winners

The Roofing Industry Alliance for Progress[1] has announced the winners of its 16th annual Most Valuable Player (MVP) Awards, recognizing outstanding roofing workers from Sanford, Fla; Houston; and Farmers Branch, Texas.

The MVP Awards program honors roofing professionals based on their significant contributions in one or more of the following areas: outstanding on-the-job performance; on-the-job safety performance, contributions to a team effort; community service and volunteerism; and other noteworthy contributions.

The 2016 MVP Award winners are:

• Israel Casas, foreman at Tecta America Southeast, LLC, Sanford, Fla., for other noteworthy contributions and activities.
• Pedro Melendez, superintendent at Centimark Corp., Houston, for contributions to team effort.
• Curtis Purvis, superintendent at Chamberlin Roofing and Waterproofing, Farmers Branch, Texas for outstanding on the job performance, on the job safety performance and community service and volunteerism.

Additionally, the Alliance named the following MVP Award finalists:

• Lyle Bandurski, foreman at Midland Engineering Co., Inc., North South Bend, Ind.
• Barry Clouse, field worker at AAA Roofing Co. Inc., Indianapolis
• Jason Geller, foreman at Schwickert’s Tecta America, Mankato, Minn.
• Thomas Williams, superintendent at KPost Roofing & Waterproofing, Dallas
• Vasiliy Yefimov, equipment operator, Stoneway Roofing Supply, Tacoma, Wash.

The Alliance also named Casas as a finalist for outstanding on-the-job performance and Purvis as a finalist for contributions to team effort.
