This fall, the Bradbury School of Manufacturing and Innovation[2] (BSMI) is set to launch at Central Christian College of Kansas (CCCK[3]) in McPherson, tackling the demand for skilled manufacturing workers in the state.

BSMI will prepare students for high-skill careers in modern manufacturing through hands-on training, industry-aligned instruction, and stackable credentials that lead from technical foundations to leadership-level preparation, says the college.

According to The Bradbury Group[4]—a manufacturer of automated coil processing and rollforming systems—Kansas continues to grow as a manufacturing hub, with increasing demand for skilled workers every year. BSMI is being developed specifically to address this need.

BSMI[5] students will gain experience in a range of areas, including:

Further, the school will offer multiple entry and exit points for students at different stages of their journey, including:

“We have designed the program alongside industry leaders to ensure that students are being equipped to hit the ground running as they enter the workforce,” said program director Kash Farney.

Farney says the key strength of the program[6] is its close partnership with industry leaders from across the nation. BSMI is made possible through a partnership with the Bradbury Family Foundation.

“While BSMI will directly benefit students and the Bradbury legacy, its impact will extend far beyond campus. By developing a stronger, more skilled workforce, the program will support manufacturers across Kansas and contribute to the state’s economic growth,” Farney added.
