Keynotes, workshops explore metal construction’s future at METALCON

METALCON[2] announced its program lineup for this year’s annual conference and trade show scheduled from Wednesday, Oct. 30, to Friday, Nov. 1, at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta.

From preshow workshops beginning on Tuesday, Oct. 29, to 35-plus educational sessions located inside the exhibit hall to keynotes, industry experts will share their knowledge with attendees who are eligible to earn nearly a year’s worth of continuing education credits (CEUs), including AIA learning units, among others.

On Oct. 30, a presentation, Building Smarter: The Impact of our Changing Weather and Climate on Construction, will be given. On Oct. 31, two sessions will be offered: The New World of Metal: How Technology and AI Can Affect the Metal Industries, and Metal Composite Material (MCM) Building Code Fire Requirements.

Keynote speakers include Joe Theismann, former NFL quarterback, who will present Game Plan for Success on Oct. 30.

On Oct. 31, Anirban Basu, chairman and CEO at Sage Policy Group Inc., based in Baltimore, will present The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly: Financial Outlook and Trends for Metal Construction. Also, Melissa Furman will present Relevant Leadership: Navigate, Empower, Transform.

Other presentations and activities include state of the industry, hands-on training and demo area, MCA’s Metal Mastery, METALCON Training Zone, The Design District@METALCON, METALCON Top Product Awards, Learning Centers, and workshops.
