Northeast Contracting Company[2] (NECC), a commercial roofing and envelope protection company serving clients across the D.C. metro area, Mid-Atlantic, and Southeast, has appointed Paul C. McCann as chief financial officer.
McCann began his career as a finance officer with the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), supporting the Office of the Comptroller and conducting rigorous financial and compliance reviews for government contractors. He went on to build a 30-year career spanning executive leadership, government contracting, and financial management.
“Paul brings the experience required for NECC’s next phase of growth,” says Cagen Williams, NECC CEO “His ability to align people, process, and performance will strengthen our foundation as a best-in-class platform.”
From the CIA to the C-suite, McCann has led finance and operations through transformation and growth. At Commonwealth Technology Inc., he rose from controller to president and CEO over a 17-year tenure, guiding the employee-owned company through its successful sale to MacAulay-Brown, Inc. He spearheaded business development and diversification initiatives while introducing company-wide improvements in strategic planning, program management, safety, and quality.
More recently, McCann strengthened financial and compliance functions at AllCom Global Services, Inc., and laid the foundation for private equity investment and acquisition growth at Definitive Logic Corporation.
“My career has been about building strong financial systems and teams that support growth, and I look forward to applying that experience at NECC as the company advances its platform,” McCann says.
