Sure Steel earns AC478 accreditation for metal building assembly

Sure Steel Inc.[2] has achieved AC478 accreditation, the recognized benchmark[3] for best practices in the inspection of metal building assemblers, providing confidence that buildings will be assembled in accordance with code, specifications, costs, and deadlines.

“AC478 accreditation represents more than compliance; it reflects a culture of quality embedded in how we plan, manufacture, and erect metal building systems,” said director of quality Micah Stanton.

Requirements for AC478 accreditation include documented management systems, rigorous safety training, quality managers, OSHA training, documented safety plans, site-specific plans, and other documentation.

“At Sure Steel, we view quality as a continuous journey, and pursuing this accreditation challenged us to strengthen our processes, enhance training, and further align our field execution with industry best practices,” Stanton continued.

Sure Steel is based in South Weber, Utah, with offices in Portland, Ore.; Phoenix, Ariz.; Dallas, Texas; Des Moines, Iowa; Charlotte, N.C.; and Orlando, Fla. The company is also a member of the Metal Building Contractors and Erectors Association[4].
