Outriggers increase hangar access sizes

For hangars without space for door leaves to pocket into, pre-engineered metal building manufacturers can supply outrigger steel frames for AeroDoor International LLC’s bottom-rolling doors to be mounted outside buildings. Outriggers can increase clear openings on new and existing hangars. The steel frames support mechanisms for door tracks beyond the widths of buildings. Outriggers need to be at least as wide as one door leaf. Outriggers must be at least 25 feet for 100-foot-wide doors with four leaves. Hangar doors in a bi-parting configuration require outriggers on both sides. Hangar doors in a unidirectional configuration need outriggers on one side.
