Girt reduces thermal bridging

Knight Wall Systems Inc.’s ThermaZee is a rainscreen girt that reduces thermal bridging. It has a hollow, thermal isolation strip attached to its back leg. Its web’s punch pattern has a reduction in metal penetrating the insulation, which decreases heat-flow through the girt. The girt is reinforced with notched bends and stiffening lips around the punches.
