Columbia’s Alclad insulated and veneer glazing infill panels are installed in place of glass in aluminum glazing/storefront channels and on setting blocks without mechanical fasteners or adhesives. With color-matched panel trims, the panels can be used as building envelope cladding. The standard 1-inch panels are made of 0.04-inch aluminum color face, 1/8-inch tempered hardboard substrates, 5/8-inch expanded polystyrene core and 0.04-mill or finished aluminum back. They have an R-value of R-4.75. The 1/4-inch veneer glazing panels have a 5-mm exterior-grade plywood core and 0.04-inch aluminum face and back with an R-value of R-1.5.

Metl-Span ThermalSafe Striated insulated metal panels (IMPs) have a noncombustible, structural mineral wool core that maximizes compressive strength. The core’s mineral wool fibers are oriented perpendicular to the panel faces for maximum structural strength. The IMPs also feature Lockguard, a double-tongue-and-groove interlocking side joint. They achieve a 1-, 2- or 3-hour fire resistance rating for walls, and 1.5 hours for ceiling applications.
