Fall arrest system provides ladder safety

Design Components Inc.’s rigid rail personal fall arrest system (PFAS) for fixed ladders meets 2018 OSHA requirements for fixed ladders. It features a rigid rail trolley that stops falls. A harness has a front/center D-ring that attaches to the trolley. The rigid rail PFAS attaches directly to fixed ladders with bolt-on rung clamps. A variety of rung clamps are available to fit different ladders. The rail comes in sections; overall length varies based on ladder climb height.

Ladder extension improves safety

To install Dynamic Fastener’s Safe-T ladder extension system, slide its 53-inch extension arms over each ladder side-rail. Then, ensure springloaded levers fully lock in place below the first ladder rung. Finally, tighten thumb screws on both extension arms until they are snug. The Safe-T ladder extension provides safe and easy transitions from ladders to raised surfaces.

Telehandler seatbelts have alarms

JLG Industries Inc. offers a seatbelt engagement and operator presence option for its telehandlers. The system includes seatbelt engagement assurance, operator presence functionality, and visual and audible alarms.
