Crystal Window and Door Systems’ series AC85 acoustic windows reduce sound transmission from the exterior. The aluminum window has a dual sash and thermally broken, deep frame. It comes in casement, fixed or combinations of the two styles. The window’s 1 1/4-inch glazing pocket accepts double or triple insulated glass units.

EFCO’s 590X Steel Replica Window is produced in aluminum. It looks like a classic, industrial steel window. The window comes in three profiles: bevel, cove and T-grid. Custom options are offered as well. When retrofitting historic buildings, customizable muntins make it possible to match existing sightlines.

Fakro’s FGH-V Galeria roof window with sashes that, when open, create a balcony. The upper, top hung sash opens upwards, while the lower sash can be tilted forwards to allow access to a balcony recess. Side safety barriers at the bottom sash slide out during opening. When closing the lower
sash, balcony rails are hidden inside the window and are not visible above the roof surface.

Major Industries’ LightBasic pre-assembled skylights have translucent panels constructed with fiberglass reinforced polymer face sheets and aluminum grid cores. They have aluminum framing and, optionally, thermal breaks. The skylights come in a variety of configurations including single-slope, with a crystal face sheet or with a white face sheet. Standard sizes are from 2 feet by 4 feet to 5 feet by 20 feet.

RCS–Roof Curb Systems’ standardized skylight and roof curbs come in 4-foot by 4-foot and 4-foot by 8-foot domes. An aluminum, under/over seam-in curb embodies a 6-foot-wide flange. This replaces three, 24-inch trapezoidal standing seam roof panels. TRAC Rail sub-framing is used for installation. The skylights come with a 15-year Class IV hail resistance warranty.

Solatube’s SolaMaster 750DS FEMA tube for daylighting and top lighting captures low-angle rays in the morning and late afternoon and rejects high-angle rays at midday to prevent glare, over lighting and overheating. The tube is 21 inches wide and can be 50 feet long. The SolaMaster 750DS FEMA tube is compliant for use in an ICC 500/FEMA safe room.
