Therm-All offers the OptiLiner System, which features its bright white or black polyethylene fabric that is a vapor retarder with a 0.02 permeance. Fabric sections are custom fit for each bay to ease installation and create a clean interior finished appearance. The OptiLiner System meets OSHA’s fall protection standard.

Thermal Design Inc.

Thermal Design’s Simple Saver System features a fabric liner to cover purlins and girts and uncompressed insulation that rests on the fabric and in cavities. The insulation and finishing system’s custom-sized Syseal fabric liner vapor retarder is available in multiple fabric and strap color combinations, and meets OSHA’s fall protection standard. Simple Saver roof and wall systems meet requirements in ASHRAE Standard 90.1-2013, 2012 and 2015 IECC.

CertainTeed

CertainTeed’s MemBrain vapor retarder is a polyamide film that changes permeability from less than 1 perm at low humidity, such as during winter, to greater than 20 perms at high relative humidity. MemBrain is used in place of traditional polyethylene vapor retarders with unfaced fiberglass insulation to provide an insulation system that functions well in areas with seasonal changes in temperature and humidity.

Firestone Building Products Co. LLC

Firestone Building Products’ Enverge Air and Vapor Barrier SA Membrane self-seals around mechanical fasteners to minimize gaps, and foil flashing tape can be used. The air and vapor barrier with a 40-mil membrane may be installed in temperatures down to 14 F; barriers with a 25-mil membrane can be installed in temperatures down to 50 F.
