Metal wall panel products were featured in Metal Construction News’ March 2022 issue.

CEI Materials LLC’s modular CLADLOK pressure equalized rainscreen system has cassette-style plate panels with interlocking edges formed from one piece of metal. Flat, tapered and dimensional profiles are available. Regarding flashing and waterproofing preparation, the drainage plane is behind the panel system. Aluminum panels are 9 inches to 51 inches wide, and 12 inches to 98 inches long. System depth is 1 3/4 inches to 4 inches. Zinc, copper and stainless steel options are offered.

AEP Span, a division of ASC Profiles LLC, offers the Perception Collection of five concealed fastener, 22-gauge metal wall panels with 12-inch coverage, a variety of ribs and Kynar coatings. Profiles can be mixed, and standard panel length is 25 feet. A clip installation method allows thermal movement.

Huntsman Building Solutions’ D-Max wall application method uses Heatlok Soya HFO closed-cell spray foam insulation (ccSPF). Where the wall is composed of regular steel studs, Z-bar is installed horizontally on studs and sheathing is installed on top of it, making space between the studs and sheathing for ccSPF.

PPG Industries Inc.’s CORAFLON Platinum fluoroethylene vinyl ether (FEVE) fluoropolymer powder coatings are for architectural extrusions and sheet aluminum. They can be produced for mica and metallic appearances with similar effects of liquid coatings. They look like anodized aluminum when specified in a matte (low-gloss) finish.
