The 1.2 million-square-foot, mixed-use complex at 999 South Oyster Bay Road on Long island includes warehousing and office facilities. The 95-acre complex was owned by Grumman Corp. and Nassau County before it was sold to an area developer, who revamped and modernized the complex to accommodate a mix of office and distribution space. Part of that modernization included the use of Englert Series 2000 metal roof panels in pre-weathered Galvalume as wall panels on the buildings.
The Englert material and some other exterior metal treatments brought a unifying look to the building façades. The modernization was successful and drew several new tenants including a landscaping products and services company, an eyewear manufacturer and retailer, a kitchen countertop manufacturer and several regional manufacturers.
