Budapest’s 11th district saw revitalization with the completion of this award-winning mixed-use shopping center that was created by ING Real Estate to serve as a complex that is both a shopping and leisure environment,as well as quality living space.
The complex features 140 retail shops, including H&M, Nike, Adidas and Guess, along with restaurants, cafés, a 13-screen cinema, casino, offices, 89 modern apartments and more than 1,200 underground parking spaces. The complex also incorporates a new pedestrian friendly zone complemented by green areas.
The architect utilized Hunter Douglas Contract’s QuadroClad metal façade panels, which create large “boxes,” giving the building added dimension and shape. The strong, lightweight, ultra flat panels provide thermal insulation and maintain ventilation while controlling rain penetration.
Allee was ING Real Estate’s first multifunctional city center project in Hungary. The QuadroClad panels were used on the exterior of the building to add dimension to the signage, among other areas to give shape to the building.
