Bells Mill Elementary School in Potomac, Md., features 18,000 square feet of 12- by 1.5-inch, 0.040-aluminum Snap-On Batten wall panels and 2,500 square feet of Soffit Panels from Petersen Aluminum Corp., Elk Grove Village, Ill. Designed to complement the site’s rural area, the 75,000-squarefoot facility features exterior colors reminiscent of those found on traditional stables and barns. Serving 740 students in grades K through 5, the new school includes an administrative suite, multipurpose room, gymnasium and art/music spaces. Walton, Madden, Cooper, Robinson, Poness Inc., Hyattsville, Md., served as the architect, and CifiRoof Corp., Columbia, Md., served as the roofing contractor.
