A complete exterior and interior renovation of Capitol View Library includes an aluminum façade with an angular, geometric pattern of openings in front of the building’s brick walls. R. McGhee & Associates LLC designed a modular array with a crystalline pattern in the aluminum with backlighting that creates a dramatic appearance, filters light and frames space. The renovation also includes enlarging windows and expanding a plaza.

To complete the façade, Broughton Construction Corp. installed 3,382 square feet (210 panels) of Parasoleil’s 1/4-inch-thick 5052 aluminum wall panels powder-coated in Buffalo Dime. Corner panels are 90-degree breaks and there are 50 different panel designs.
