Completed in July 2012, the Clarks Logistic Center, a 451,000-square-foot distribution center, achieved LEED Gold certification for its high-performance building envelope and other factors. Clarks was concerned with lowering its ecological footprint. CENTRIA metal wall panels were chosen for a high level of environmental sustainability. C/S Louvers were selected because there are a variety of gauges, colors and finishes to match corresponding CENTRIA panels and blend into walls, eliminating visual breaks.
National Panel Systems installed 51,287 square feet of CENTRIA’s 26-gauge Formawall Dimension Series 3-inch horizontal panels in Light Gray with an embossed finish and Fluorofinish coating; 14,240 square feet of 22-gauge Formawall Dimension Series 3-inch horizontal panels in Chromium Gray with an embossed finish and Fluorofinish coating; 7,133 square feet of 22-gauge Formawall Dimension Series 3-inch horizontal panels in Dove Gray with an embossed finish and Fluorofinish coating; 39,992 square feet of 26-gauge Versawall vertical panels in Light Gray with an embossed finish and Fluorofinish coating; and Construction Specialties’ louvers.
The Clarks Logistic Center ships out an average of 100,000 pairs of shoes a day through the use of 4 1/2 miles of conveyor belts and 500 employees.
