CannonDesign specified American Buildings Co.’s metal building system to construct Syracuse University’s Ensley Athletic Center. Markim Erection Co. Inc. built the 95,149-square-foot football practice facility with American Buildings’ structural steel framing system, standing seam roof system in Regal White and 3-inch insulated metal wall panels in Regal White.
The athletic facility is 541 feet long by 217 feet wide by 45 feet tall; interior clearance at its peak is 65 feet. The exterior features a plaza with statues commemorating football players that wore the #44 jersey: Jim Brown, Floyd Little and Ernie Davis. It was completed in December 2014.
